SCORPIONS: NEW ALBUM IN FEBRUARY 2022!

by MythofRock

Scorpions are ready to release their new, 19th studio album! “Rock Believer” will be out worldwide on February 11th, 2022. The single will be the track “Peacemaker”, which will be released on October 21st, 2021. The German band entered the studio in its hometown, Hannover, and started working on new material, during the pandemic. Frontman Klaus Meine says: “The album was written and recorded in the Scorpions DNA with core [Rudolf] Schenker/[Klaus] Meine compositions. We recorded the album as a band live in one room, like we did in the ’80s”. Recorded primarily at Peppermint Park Studios in Hannover and mixed at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin, Germany, with engineer Michael Ilbert, “Rock Believer” will be Scorpions’ first release since 2017’s “Born To Touch Your Feelings – Best Of Rock Ballads”. The band originally intended to record the new album in Los Angeles with producer Greg Fidelman, but that proved not possible during the pandemic. So, Scorpions decided to work with engineer Hans-Martin Buff. Unlike “Return to Forever” (2015), the new album features no outside writers at all. “Rock Believer” World Tour has already been announced (see below) and it will start in March 2022 in Las Vegas.
