HARDLINE – “HEART, MIND AND SOUL” (2021, FRONTIERS)

by MythofRock

Hardline is an American hard rock band, formed in 1991 by the Gioeli brothers, Johnny and Joey. Since then a lot of distinguished musicians like Neal Schon, Deen Castronovo, Mike Terrana, Rudy Sarzo, Joey Tafolla and others have been in the line-up, however, today only Johnny Gioeli has remained from the first line-up of Hardline (as you might know, Johnny sings also for Axel Rudi Pell). Now the band is on an Italian era, with Alessandro Del Vecchio (keyboards) and other Italians in the roster. “Heart, Mind and Soul” is the new, seventh studio album of Hardline and follows the band’s tradition of good, melodic hard rock albums. Hardline is a low-profiled, but hard working musical unit, which offers nice compositions, full of melodies, passion and energy. A silent force, which makes great, heartfelt and soulful music, suitable and ideal for fans of melodic hard rock and bands like Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Cinderella, Firehouse, L.A. Guns, Skid Row etc. Hardline has the know-how of composing fine hard rock music, the musicianship and maturity to present top class AOR/hard rock to the fans and the ability to put all their true, deep feelings to their music. Songs like “Heavenly”, “If I Could I Would”, “Like That”, “Searching For Grace”, “Fuel to the Fire” and “We Belong” are fantastic. Johnny Gieoli and co. gave all their heart, mind and soul to make this beautiful record – and we shall enjoy this record with all our heart, mind and soul. Thank you for everything, guys!
