BLACK STONE CHERRY – “THE HUMAN CONDITION” (2020, MASCOT)

by MythofRock

Beautiful melodies, strong riffs, a warm, steady groove … what else can somebody ask from a hard rock band? That’s the case of Black Stone Cherry and its new album “The Human Condition”! Yes, we have everything here, as the band from Kentucky, USA, releases its seventh album and offers us again a collection of nice songs, which will keep us good company. Because the quartet composes “feel-good” music, hooky and catchy, based on the guitar riffs and the smart vocal lines. Black Stone Cherry’s hard rock is loud, dirty and rough, with many modern metal, alternative rock and blues rock influences. You will get impressed by the stunning melodic approach, the amazing guitar work and the sweet voice of Chris Robertson, in the context of an album which has both heavy rockers and emotive, sentimental ballads. I am listening the album again and again, I can’t get enough of great songs like “Ringin’ in my Head”, “Again”, “If My Heart Had Wings”, “In Love with the Pain” and “Keep on Keepin’ On”! “The Human Condition” is our new hard rock addiction, an album crafted with passion and artistry, since the band uses the proper ingredients and has the right mentality … It has been a long time since the last time listened to such a good hard rock album.  Well, Black Stone Cherry has the musicianship, the maturity, all the skills to release exquisite albums. “The Human Condition” is such an album, my friends. Grab it and live the experience to the fullest!
