MARILYN MANSON: ABUSE ALLEGATIONS AND HIS REACTION

by MythofRock

Abuse allegations of the actress Evan Rachel Wood and other women against Marilyn Manson have caused quite a stir.

Wood publicly accused Manson of “grooming” her as a teenager and “horrifically” abusing her during their relationship. Manson and Wood met, when she was 18 years old and he was 36 years old and the couple was engaged from 2010 to 2011.

Wood wrote on Instagram: “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent”.

After Wood’s allegations, at least four other women posted their own allegations against Manson. The women claimed to have endured “sexual assault, psychological abuse, and/or various forms of coercion, violence, and intimidation” at the hands of the famous musician.

Manson has denied the abuse allegations calling them “horrible distortions of reality”. He wrote exactly in a statement, posted on Instagram on Monday (February 1): “Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth”.
